So, as I sit here in my scorching apartment, I realize I haven't updated in a while. Oops.

So my trip to P's went wonderfully, and we've still been on the phone every night since. Brampton Pride is coming up this weekend, so I'm headed there after work late Friday night, and we're both coming back downtown on Saturday night with her friends D & S to go to the Vatiken. Sunday I have a soccer game that P says she is really excited to watch, and then there's a Lesbians on Ecstacy concert that evening as part of Folsom Fair North (www.folsomfairnorth.com). So I'm super excited because that's an entire weekend I get to spend (in person) with P. :D

The cuddle party was on Thursday, and it was awesome. Out of 10 people, there were 5 who were regulars/had been before, so super awesome cuddling. And playing the "ha ha" game (you know, heads on bellies in long chains, first person says "ha" 2nd person says "ha ha" 3rd person says "ha ha ha" and so on until everyone cracks up), we sooo great. Laughing hard enough to have tears streaming down my cheeks, combined with the feeling of cuddling awesome people, and having spent the previous 24 hours with P - such an awesome feeling.
I'm also being interviewed by someone who's working at a (semi) local paper, and is doing a story on cuddle parties in Ontario and what my experiences have been. Yeah, just wait until the grandparents see THAT in the paper! "wait... our little Tiana? Going to strange places to cuddle... with strangers? And they're [usually] girls?" LOL should be interesting. Perhaps a warning to my dad would be a good idea...

Jeff came down Sunday night, stayed overnight but didn't really get that much time together because of me having to work and stuff, but still nice to see him.

The heat has been horrible. I have a fan, but if doesn't do much other than blow the hot air around my apartment. Last night I stayed at Mike and Audra (I love you 2!!!) who have air conditioning, so at least I was able to get some sleep. Debating whether or not to go back tonight, as even though I slept a little bit better, i missed my own bed, and the adjustment from cold to hot recked havoc on my system this morning. It feels a little cooler tonight, and a cold shower right before bed helps too. And I like being in my own place when P calls, because then I don't feel guilty about talking cause I know my roommate can't hear me, whereas Audra sleeps odd hours and I think she may have heard me answer my phone last night (it was on vibe, but I still wake to the noise of the buzz).

Oh, and for anyone who's interested, the fundraiser for my soccer team is going to be help August 6th, at Crews and Tango from 5-11pm. As the only female, I'm doing a number in the performance part (and in drag at that), so anyone wants to come and support, or perhaps offer some tips, please do!

And I've just been told the league may be doing a calendar of sorts to try to increase the number of women players, so I may get involved in that (can be clothed in soccer gear or in whatever's comfortable). AND I might get to go to either Montreal or Chicago (or both) for the Out Games next year. FUN!

I'm loving my life (but hating the humidity)
